Quick bio

Julienne Ikegami received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance and Master of Music in string pedagogy at Temple University Boyer College of Music and Dance. At Boyer, she studied with Meichen Barnes and Barbara Sonies. In addition, she participated in several ensembles, including Temple University Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Luis Biava, Sinfonia, Opera, Contemporary Ensemble, and Chamber Music. Notable chamber coaches include Helen Kwalwasser, Jeffrey Solow, and Lambert Orkis, among others. Prior to her studies at Temple, she studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Music with Simon Maurer, Brandon Christensen, and Antonio Rincon. Additional training includes Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Arts in 2005 and Domaine Forget Music and Dance Academy in 2010.

Julienne offers traditional and Suzuki style lessons. She has been certified by the Suzuki Association of the Americas since 2012. In addition to Ikegami Music Studio, Julienne also teaches at Community Music School in Trappe, PA and Malvern School of Music, in both individual and group settings. Besides teaching, she also performs solo and in ensembles. Please see below for select performances.
